If you been following along on twitter, then you know already that Converse has signed Carlos Arroyo. He'll be wearing the Star Player EVO during the World Basketball Festival in August. In advance of that Carlos held a basketball clinic that you can see pictures of below. You can also read more about it here, but you'll probably need to translate it,
Okay, seriously. Why is this shirt not on Converse.com. It's a simple logo shirt, but the chevron and star work perfectly. As a matter of fact, you won't find the Chevron and Star on any of the apparel on Converse.com. Hopefully this will be fixed very soon.
More Good news, Carlos recently resigned with the Miami Heat, so there will be at least one Converse player on the Heat. I still have heard if Udonis Haslem has resigned with Converse or not.

Converse X Green Lantern Chucks
Just last week the first screen shots of the Green Lantern movie release from EW, see above. Now on the heels of that excitement comes a Converse collaboration with DC Comics in the form of the Green Lantern Chucks. So far I've only seen them at Journey's so they might be exclusive to them.
Say what you will about the Ryan Reynolds film version above, but I'm willing to hold my judgment for the movie itself. I really like the use of the Chuck Taylor ankle patch on these, you'll see what I mean below.
That's it for now, check back later for more updates here at The Converse Blog, and as always follow along on twitter @TheConverseBlog Also, as you'll see I've updated the look of the blog. I think it looks cleaner but I'm open to suggestions so hit me up in the comments below.

Converse Sea Star
Today we've got the Converse Sea Star from the Black Flag collection. The Sea Star was first brought back in the Converse collection in 2008 as part of the Converse Century celebration. More recently the sea star has returned as part of Converse's black flag skate collection. A new colorway is shown below, in a classic looking navy/white colorway.

Larry Sanders with Converse?
Finally, Converse makes an apperance at the NBA Summer league. Larry Sanders, the 15th overall pick out of VCU, opened summer league with his Milwaukee Bucks wearing the Converse Weapon EVO. No offical word of an endorsement contract with Converse. It does seem likely though, as only a small number of players have worn anything besides Nike or Adidas during the summer league. Only time will tell, but hopefully he'll be part of a vastly expanded team Converse.

In his second game, Sanders had 22 pts, 9 rebs, 2 blk, 2 ast, 1 stl. Needless to say I'm getting my hopes up for sure. Stay tuned for more updates here and on twitter @TheConverseBlog

Rune Glifberg's Converse Allston Ox
Converse skate ambassador Rune Glifberg is no stranger to having a Converse shoe with his name on it. Rune had a signature version of the Coolidge mid, but now he has his very own Pro Model shoe. However you might not noticed it at first. So far Rune's pro model has only been released in the ox version, going by the name of Allston. Check it out below, and look out for more colorways and a mid version. You can get this colorway right now at shoes.com
Also, big ups to Rune who recently took home first place at Copenhagen Pro in the vert finals. Catch video of it here. And as always follow along on twitter for quick updates and other random thoughts @TheConverseBlog. Thanks for checking out the blog!

Converse Star Player EVO x Karmaloop TV, watch this now!!!!!!!
Karamloop TV catches up with the Global Senior Manager of Converse Basketball Karim Wazani as he breaks down the Converse Star Player EVO. Honestly, I haven't been this excited for Converse shoe since the He:01, the first Helium shoe. As you'll find out in the video, the shoe is going to be a feather light 12 oz. I don't want to give too much away, so just check it out for yourselves.
That's it for now. There won't be a Friday Flashback post this week, I'm headed out of town for a few days. Don't forget to follow along on twitter @TheConverseBlog,

Welcome back to The Converse Blog with Nylon Trainer 75
Well this has taken much longer then I ever anticipated, but I'm finally back. I never realized how easy it was to get out of the habit of doing something, even something you enjoy. Regardless, the Converse Blog is back in action. To start things of I want to bring your attention to the Converse Nylon Trainer 75. Much like previous re-issued Converse shoes, the Trainer 75 is an extremely close reproduction of the original. You can find them at Converse.com
Hopefully, in the next few days there will be some information about new additions to team Converse in the NBA. Keep your eyes peeled. As always you can follow along for breaking news on twitter @TheConverseBlog. Thank you all for your patience with the blog, check back for more updates.
