Here is the Converse Pro Leather 2012 basketball shoe. You probably won't get a chance to buy it here in the States. But as loyal reader Aaron Johnson pointed out to me, it is up on Converse Argentina website. If you happen to know anyone in Argentina that can hook you up, you might be able to get your feet in these. Speaking of Argentina, Men's Olympic team has 4 players wearing Converse this year.

Converse x NFL Inspired Chucks
Who knew the first Nike Brand NFL products would actually come from Converse....okay so that might be a stretch. They're Chucks with the colors of a few popular NFL teams, but no official team logos or NFL logos are on the shoes. They have all 6 colorways on DressCodeClothing.Com, for 49.95. The first pack features colorways inspired by the Dolphins, Vikings, Redskins, Steelers, Falcons, and Cowboys.

The Converse Pro Leather was the first modern basketball
shoe, made known to the world in 1976 by some of the greatest basketball
players, including Julius “Dr. J” Erving. The Pro Leather Mid and Pro Leather
Ox are available in black and grey nylon with bright orange lining. Accompanying the Star Chevron is
a “UND” logo, giving a nod to the Converse First String Undefeated
collaborations in past seasons. The
Pro Leather Hi is available for a suggested retail price of $85; the Pro
Leather Ox at $75.

Originally launched in the mid-1970s, the Converse Star
Player shoe brought new dimension to the game of basketball beginning on the
court and soon after on the streets. The Converse Star Player EV Hi in fir
green offers a nylon upper, zipper detailing and a black leather toe cap. The Star Player Ox, available in majolica blue, is
offered in ballistic nylon with the signature Undefeated rubber license plate
logo gracing the outer sole. The Star Player Hi is available for a suggested
retail price of $80; the Star Player Ox at $70.

The Converse x Undefeated collection also includes a
selection of apparel and caps featuring Undefeated’s signature Born Not Made

March Misses Converse: Terry Black and the Baylor Bears
The 1999-2000 Baylor Bears were the last Converse team to wear the Chuck Taylor name. This was during the time when Converse was using the Chuck Taylor patch on their performance line. One must wonder what Chuck Taylor would think of Converse basketball today...
