Converse KA-One Red/White

Converse Skate Ambassador Kenny Anderson has finally gotten a new signature pro model shoe from the new Converse Skateboarding.  If you don't remember Kenny was part of the original Converse skateboarding team and had a few pro models back in the day. 

The KA-One is inspired in part by the Converse Classic Trainer.  Below you will see the Red/White/Gum colorway.  You can pick them up at CCS here for $60.00

Converse Straight Shooter

Happy Friday everyone.  Today we have pics of the Converse First String release of the Straight Shooter.  The name Straight Shooter comes from old school Converse shoe close to the Chuck Taylor, but is pretty different from this release. 

Not sure of the release date or price on these, but you should expect to see them where other Converse First String products can be found.  Also big thanks to Converse Hong Kong for posting up these pics first.

Converse Band of Ballers 2011 is happening!!!!

So color me surprised by this news, the Converse Band of Ballers tournament lives on. Last year the tournament was in May and when May and June came and went with no tournament I thought it had been canceled. Turns out that they just moved it to July.


Now catch this, MTV2 will be filming the tournament. Not sure if it will be broadcast as a special event or just mixed in here there with other programing. I'll try to find out that for you all.


So whose playing this year, well Jim Jones will be back to defend his Championship. Matt and Kim will be back this year too. Making his debut will be Wiz Khalifa will be bringing a team to compete as well. Also they are teasing 1 or 2 Big time Hip Hop artist as soon as I figure out who it is I will let you know.


So when is this happening, well it's going down Monday July 11 in NYC. I am not 100% on where they're playing at so I'll try to get that to you also.

First Look: Brand New Converse Chuck Taylor x Batman

DC and Converse are at it again, this time with a new Chuck Taylor featuring a version of this Batman logo below.  A version of this logo first appeared in the March 1970 issue of Batman.  To the best of my googleing, it was created by Gaspar Saladino.   The Yellow and Blue are replaced with Black and Silver.   By the way this info came from artist Todd Klein's blog, he's worn many hats in the comic book industry, so he should know.  Check it out here.

I'm not sure when these will see a release, but I they have them for sale at Converse Korea.  Like the other DC Comics x Converse shoes I would expect these to be exclusive to Journeys so keep an eye out there.

Vintage Converse Star Chevron Tube Socks that you have to see.

These are some extremely bright Converse tube socks, so they're awesome.  They showed up on eBay the other day and I just had to show them to you all.  Pretty sure the auction is over now though. 

I'm hoping to set a new record for page hits this month, I'd be so grateful if you could help out and spread the word about The Converse Blog....you would be my heroes!!!

I'm Just Saying.

It Came from Brazil - Converse Suede Saddle

Well actually I should say it's coming from Brazil because they haven't released yet.  They are however some suede saddle shoes with some impressive color contrasting.  The drastic difference between the upper and lower of the shoe really pop to life. 

I'm not sure exactly when these will release, but look for them in Brazil soonish.
