This is a blog for fans of Converse. This blog is currently updated at least 3 times a week on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. I hope you enjoy what you see here.

Do you Love fashion? Come on, I know that you do. You must love fashion right, I mean you did come to The Converse Blog after all. Nothing says fashion like Converse, moreover nothing says fashion like the John Varvatos Converse line of clothes and shoes. So today I bring you what is one of my favorite pairs of Converse to actually release this year, the Sprint Grip. You can find these on Converse.com
Here is a close up of the toe area of the Converse Sprint Grip
Well that's it for today, I hope everyone has a wonderful and exciting Tuesday. Don't forget to follow along on twitter @TheConverseBlog.
The Converse Gates just showed up in three bright colorways yesterday on Converse.com. I'm feeling the Blue/White for UK games....I might pick order a pair after the big win against Florida on Saturday. WE BELIEVE...
...Anyway, as I was saying, the Gates is a skate ready shoe that features a nice herringbone traction pattern on the outsole. As you will see in the last picture, the Gates also features a very nice thick and comfy looking ankle area.
FRIDAY...that is my new favorite word. Anyway, thanks for checking out the Converse Blog! Don't forget to follow along on Twitter @TheConverseBlog.com
So I wasn't joking when I said that I loved the Wyoming Cowboys color combo. However it wasn't until I sat down to do this post last night that I found these pictures of a Wyoming Cowboy Basketball Camp/Converse T-shirt. This beauty was on eBay a little while back, but of course it was in a way too small of size for this guy.
Well that's it for today, I'm double dipping for Football tomorrow. First I'll be in Lexington for the UK vs U of L game and then I'll be making the trip out to Bowling Green for the WKU game later on tomorrow night. Crazy weekend coming up, but you've gotta love football season!
So I was playing around on ConverseOne last night and I came up with a few designs that I thought I'd share with you. If you don't already know, the Converse Weapon OX is now up and live at ConverseOne.com. First up is the Converse Weapon OX Wyoming colorway, which is inspired by one of my favorite color combos in all of sports. That combo belongs to the Wyoming Cowboys! I was so hoping that they could've pulled off the huge upset over Texas last week...oh well they'll have to settle for some love from the Converse Blog.
I'm not really a Raiders fan, I am actually a Dolphins fan. However, I couldn't make a Dolphins colorway on ConverseOne so I had some fun and gave some love the Black Hole in Oakland.
Here is my DA BULLS colorway. There is nothing like a straight black shoe with a hit of Red in the Y-Bar, at least that's what my mother always told me.
Last but not least, is my Coach Cal colorway. As you know I'm a hardcore Kentucky fan, so I thought I'd give our new coach some love with his own Converse Weapon colorway.
That's it for today. If you've got any ideas for a new poll send them my way. Don't forget to follow along on twitter @TheConverseBlog. Thanks for checking out the blog.
So Friday came and went without a Friday Flashback...okay so I suck at life. In an attempt to redeem myself, I bring you the first ever "The Converse Blog's Monday's Trip Down Memory Lane." I love ridiculously long names that are uncalled for, as if you didn't already know this.
Today's TCBMTDML, is the Converse Abolisher. The Abolisher might actually be the best name a for a shoe EVER, or it could not be, but I am leaning more towards that it is. These are a 90's basketball, that looks to be during the REACT era. However, these don't actually feature React.
The Upper features a nice zig-zag pattern that was apparently all the rage back in the 90's.
I'm out like what little respect I had left for Kanye West. Thanks for checking out the blog. Don't forget to follow along on Twitter @TheConverseBlog
I don't really think much of Purses, you know being a male and all, but when I saw these I thought they were pretty cool. I found these up at Converse.ES which the Converse Spain's website. They've taken the classic Magic colorway of the Weapons and made it into a purse.
That's it for today, thank you for checking out the blog and remember to follow along on twitter! @TheConverseBlog.
FRIDAY! Can you tell that I'm fired up? I love Friday's so much that in my classroom I've renamed Thursday as Friday Eve. Welcome to the Converse Blog's Friday Flashback. Today I'm bringing you a Converse running shoe from the 80's. It goes by the name of the Converse B-M600.
I'd never seen these shoes until they showed up on eBay and then a week or two later another colorway showed up. I'm loving the use of the square star scripted Converse logo. College Football is live this weekend. I'll be in the Nasty for the Rumble on the River between Miami Ohio and My University of Kentucky Wildcats!
