Friday Flashback CONS React training shoes, plus a plea for JJ Barea's shoes.

Hello world, welcome to the Friday Flashback here at the Converse Blog.  But before we get to the post I want to give a shout out to JJ Barea.  Last night JJ Barea put a impressive 17 points 5 Assist and 2 Rebounds.  I can only hope that Converse is gearing up for a quickstrike release of Barea's Star Player EVO low top shoes, interest in the shoes will possibly never be higher.

Now onto the Friday Flashback....

React React React React React

I'm not sure of the name of these shoes, so if you happen to know please pass on the knowledge.  However, as you can probably tell these shoes came out in the early 90's.  Wild design and the Chevron in Star logo that defined the React era.  Hope you enjoy!!!

Converse Skateboarding CVO 3/4 - Blue/White

Earlier this year the Converse Skateboarding CVO and Sea Star released at Stussy. They must have sold really well because now the CVO's are up on Converse.com.  Pictured below are the Blue/White colorway.

I've got to say, Converse Skateboarding is on point.  I've seen some of the shoes coming down the line and it's only going to get better.  Thanks for checking out the blog, follow along on twitter.com @TheConverseBlog

Converse (Product) Red I Heart Chucks

Converse continues their (Product) Red line with the Converse (PRODUCT) RED I Heart ______.  I really love this concept because they give a space to write on your Chucks...although it's not like you really needed permission to write all over them anyway.

Check them out at Covnerse.com....speaking of Converse I made a trip to Dawsonville, GA this weekend to hit up the Converse store.  I picked up the Black/Gold/Red CONS ERX 300 and they are fantastic in person.  I also picked up another pair of the classic White/Navy EVO Pro II.  Thanks for checking out the blog, come back often and leave your comments.  For quick hits follow along on twitter @TheConverseBlog

'S Monday's Trip Down Memory Lane: Converse Abolisher

So Friday came and went without a Friday Flashback...okay so I suck at life.  In an attempt to redeem myself, I bring you the first ever "The Converse Blog's Monday's Trip Down Memory Lane."  I love ridiculously long names that are uncalled for, as if you didn't already know this.

Today's TCBMTDML, is the Converse Abolisher.  The Abolisher might actually be the best name a for a shoe EVER, or it could not be, but I am leaning more towards that it is.  These are a 90's basketball, that looks to be during the REACT era.  However, these don't actually feature React.

The Upper features a nice zig-zag pattern that was apparently all the rage back in the 90's.

CONS ERX 300 Skate Blue/Blue/Blue/Red Colorway.

This past week I was fortunate enough to visit Las Vegas for a week long vacation.  I returned home with a good deal less of money than I left with.  I didn't really lose a lot of money in the casino's, I spent most of my money in the three area Converse stores.  I wanted to go ahead and show you one of the purchases I made, the Converse ERX 300.  One of the headlining shoes from the CONS Skateboarding.  I was really looking forward to picking up some shoes I haven't seen or been able to purchase yet and I personally think that I struck gold with these.

I've shown you pictures of the CONS ERX 300 before, but this is a very interesting colorway that I had not seen available in America before.  The upper is completely washed in different shades of blue with red accents on the tongue, heel, and outsole.

But just seeing pictures of the ERX 300 doesn't do it justice and anyone whose worn them or at least tried them on should agree.  The memory foam in the ankle and tongue make this an extremely comfortable high top selection.  More to come in the next few days from the trip.  Don't forget to vote in the poll as there are only a few days left.  Also follow us on twitter @TheConverseBlog.

The Converse Blog: CONS Skateboarding Sample

There seems to a lot of interest in the new CONS skateboarding line. One advantage is having shoes that don't have tongues that could double as airplane pillows. Today I have pictures of a sample colorway of the CONS Pro Leather.

That's it for today, look for more information on the CONS product in future blog post. Thanks for checking out the blog.

The Converse Blog: CONS ERX 300 SB

Previously I showed you a picture or two of the new CONS ERX 300 Skateboarding shoe from Converse. But you know that just one picture isn't enough, so I am back today with a more complete view of this new SB product. Even though I don't skate, I love these and can't wait to get them on my feet. I am really looking forward to the memory foam in the ankle area. Well enjoy the pics below.

Look for these and other CONS Skateboarding shoes soon, check out www.Converseskateboarding.com.

Only two shopping days left until Christmas...aka Get Busy People!  Speaking of getting busy, whoever put these Converse Pro Team's together sure did.  Below you will see a Black/Black Patent/Ice Blue colorway of this classic Converse shoe.

I think these are a China release but I am not for sure.  Also while I have your attention, let me just say... Dwyane Wade...dang.

The Converse Blog's Friday Flashback

Welcome to The Converse Blog's Friday Flashback, today's Flashback is running shoe from the Psycho Trainer era. These Psycho trainers featured React juice in the heel. You've gotta love the puffy heel and tongue.

I really wish I had pictures of the outsole for these. All of the Psycho era shoes had some pretty crazy outsoles, plus you could see the React. Oh well, no worries, you get the idea. That's it for today, only a few shopping days left until Christmas so get busy!

The Converse Blog: CONS R-001 Japan

Converse Japan just released three new basketball shoes under the CONS brand. One of which is the CONS R-001 pictured below. All three versions come in a customizable midfoot strap and heel tab. Or you can wear it without the color inserts or without the midfoot strap all together.

While the upper is pretty clean and simple, the outsole is where the action really is. There seems to be traction in every possible direction you'd want. Well that's it for today, thanks for checking out the blog.
