March Misses Converse: Terry Black and the Baylor Bears

The 1999-2000 Baylor Bears were the last Converse team to wear the Chuck Taylor name.  This was during the time when Converse was using the Chuck Taylor patch on their performance line.  One must wonder what Chuck Taylor would think of Converse basketball today...

Without question the best player on that Baylor team was Terry Black, check him out below.  Those shoes he's rocking had React Juice II

Converse CT Remix South Beach Colorway

Converse has really been playing around with the classic Chuck Taylor over the last few years with some pretty interesting results.  The latest is the Converse Remix.  The remix features a textile upper and an EVA midsole for more cushioning then the normal Chuck Taylor.

Below is a colorway reminiscent the South Beach colorways Nike has been releasing.   However these are only on Finishline.com and only in smaller sizes.  The standard colorways are Converse.com come in a full range of sizes and half sizes.

First Look: Brand New Converse Chuck Taylor x Batman

DC and Converse are at it again, this time with a new Chuck Taylor featuring a version of this Batman logo below.  A version of this logo first appeared in the March 1970 issue of Batman.  To the best of my googleing, it was created by Gaspar Saladino.   The Yellow and Blue are replaced with Black and Silver.   By the way this info came from artist Todd Klein's blog, he's worn many hats in the comic book industry, so he should know.  Check it out here.

I'm not sure when these will see a release, but I they have them for sale at Converse Korea.  Like the other DC Comics x Converse shoes I would expect these to be exclusive to Journeys so keep an eye out there.

Converse x D.C. Comics Legion of Doom All Star at Journeys

Believe it or not, one of the most visited post this past year was the Green Lantern Chucks from Journeys.  So lets hope lightening strikes twice with this post.  Journeys has also released a pair of Chucks titled Legion of Doom.  Which I assume is a group of D.C. Comic villains.  Anyway one shoe you have the villains and the other you have the heroes.

The Legion of Doom features Lex Luther, Brainiac, The Joker, and The Penguin

Here is the hero side of the shoe featuring Wonder Woman, Robin, Batman, Flash, The Green Lantern, and of course Superman.

You can pick a pair up here at Journeys.  Thanks for checking out the blog and please don't forget to follow along on Twitter @TheCovnerseBlog

Converse All Star Outsider Mid, oh and also it's boot

Converse continues dropping boots this Fall season with the Outsider Mid.  I just really wish there was a brown colorway, but enough about me...The Outsider Mid comes in a Deep Lichen Green colorway and then a traditional Black.  You'll notice some familiar Chuck Taylor features on the Outsider, for example, the toe cap and ankle patch.  I have a pair of the Outsider Hi top from last season and I've been really impressed with how they've felt.  Take a look at the pics below.

You can find these at Converse.com for $70  Thanks for checking out the blog and don't forget to follow along on twitter @TheConverseBlog
