Converse x NFL Inspired Chucks

Who knew the first Nike Brand NFL products would actually come from Converse....okay so that might be a stretch.  They're Chucks with the colors of a few popular NFL teams, but no official team logos or NFL logos are on the shoes.   They have all 6 colorways on DressCodeClothing.Com, for 49.95.  The first pack features colorways inspired by the Dolphins, Vikings, Redskins, Steelers, Falcons, and Cowboys.

MIAMI DOLPHINS

MINNESOTA VIKINGS

WASHINGTON REDSKINS

PITTSBURGH STEELERS

ATLANTA FALCONS

DALLAS COWBOYS

Converse Classic Boot Mid Leather

It's getting to be that time of year when you trade in your flip-flops for some nice boots.  Thankfully Converse thought the same thing, so they've produced some new boots based on, the Chuck Taylor and the classic boot design.  Check them out below in Brown and Black leather colorways.  They're at converse.com for $75.

Converse All Star Duck Boots

You might have seen these by now, but I still wanted to showcase them here on the blog.  What you see below are the Converse All Star Duck Boots.  They come in both high and ox versions in Brown or Black colorways.  Seriously, is there anything you can't do with the All Stars?  Every season Converse re-invents the Chuck Taylor All Star into something new.  You can find these over at Converse.com

Converse X Green Lantern Chucks

Just last week the first screen shots of  the Green Lantern movie release from EW, see above.  Now on the heels of that excitement comes a Converse collaboration with DC Comics in the form of the Green Lantern Chucks.  So far I've only seen them at Journey's so they might be exclusive to them.

Say what you will about the Ryan Reynolds film version above, but I'm willing to hold my judgment for the movie itself.  I really like the use of the Chuck Taylor ankle patch on these, you'll see what I mean below.

That's it for now, check back later for more updates here at The Converse Blog, and as always follow along on twitter @TheConverseBlog  Also, as you'll see I've updated the look of the blog.  I think it looks cleaner but I'm open to suggestions so hit me up in the comments below.

Converse (Product) Red I Heart Chucks

Converse continues their (Product) Red line with the Converse (PRODUCT) RED I Heart ______.  I really love this concept because they give a space to write on your Chucks...although it's not like you really needed permission to write all over them anyway.

Check them out at Covnerse.com....speaking of Converse I made a trip to Dawsonville, GA this weekend to hit up the Converse store.  I picked up the Black/Gold/Red CONS ERX 300 and they are fantastic in person.  I also picked up another pair of the classic White/Navy EVO Pro II.  Thanks for checking out the blog, come back often and leave your comments.  For quick hits follow along on twitter @TheConverseBlog

The Converse x The Mentalist

I love eBay. Say what you will about what it's done for the shoe "game," but all I know is that it's aloud me to get shoes I know I'd get otherwise.  Take these Chucks below, they're the Red John Chucks.  Red John is the unseen character in the CBS hit show "The Mentalist."  Converse worked with the stars of the show to create a unique Red John pair of Chucks for the cast and crew as a special thank you for their work on the 2nd season.  I was extremely lucky to get these on eBay.  I was able to get a truly unique and limited item that I wouldn't have been able to get without eBay.

Above you see a picture of the show's star Simon Baker and the Red John logo on the wall.  Red John leaves the logo behind every crime scene.

Converse might have a chance to sign LeBron....LeBron Jr. that is.

Misleading...perhaps...interesting...for sure.  Okay, so it's been a long week at school so I though I'd take a lighter tone for Friday's post.  Here a few pics I got from Yahoo.com of LeBron's  Bike-a-Thon.  Now I am not exactly sure what LeBron is doing, but LeBron Jr. seems to be having a ball.  That probably has a lot do with the fact that he's wearing some high top Chucks.  You can see them much better in the second picture.  So maybe someday when LeBron Jr. is old enough to hoop for cash, he can take the court in the Star and Chevron of Converse.

Who knows, maybe Nike has realized that LeBron's line won't ever justify the amount of money they signed him for.  So maybe they're making plans to have LeBron be the face of Converse and are using LeBron Jr. to help introduce the idea.  Okay, all joking aside, I still think it's pretty cool to see him in some Chucks.  Thanks for following the Converse Blog, don't forget we're that we're on Twitter so follow us already.  @TheConverseBlog.

Converse All Star Stencil.

Recently Converse released a special make up the All Stars featuring a stencil spray paint design. You can find all three of these shoes at Converse.com, which is where I got these pictures from.  One of the aspects of this release that I really enjoy is that it's not over the top.  Besides the ankle patch placement there a few other areas that are hit with the spray paint.  It's also nice that you can wear this without having to go out and buy something to match it, as all three versions come in either white/black/red or Black/white/red colorways.  However, the best part of this release is in the ox version.  This is one of the few, if not the only, All Star ox that features the iconic Chuck Taylor ankle patch.

New Converse Layer Up Chucks!

We've seen many different models of the Converse All Star's, but something we haven't seen until now is a high and low combo shoe. This is more technically known as the Layer up model. I haven't found them anywhere besides Journeys so they could be an exclusive model. So far they come in Black/Red ( or is that Red/Black?) and Pin/Grey.

I've been wondering when this model would come out, I've thought it would be an interesting idea ever since the first pair of double high tops released.  If you want a pair then head over here to Journeys, where I got these photos.

I've got a new poll coming today so check it out, don't forget to follow us on Twitter! @TheConverseBlog !
