Converse Auckland Racer Remix plus a Challenge

Today boys and girls I give you a challenge.  Help me wake this sleeping giant and buy the shoes Nike probably doesn't want to you buy.  Okay, so that might be a little dramatic...However, I feel like the main reason Converse isn't as successful as an athletic performance shoe company is because Nike doesn't want to them to be. 

I understand growing as a fashion/lifestyle brand is important, but you can have both.  Timberland is a perfect example of a company that hits on the both the fashion and performance side.  It can be done.

Which brings me to the Converse Auckland Racer Remix, a performance leaning update to the classic Auckland Racer.  It was my understanding that this shoe had been canceled as an American release, so I was shocked when they showed up on Converse.com



So here's my challenge, buy this shoe and show Converse and Nike we want performance shoes from Converse.  Show them that we want to wear Converse while playing something other than a guitar. At only $65 pick up a few pairs and put them away for the summer, or surprise a friend or loved one with the gift of Converse.  Pick up your pair today!!!!

Converse Auckland Racer Premium

It looks as though Converse hasn't completely given up on the Auckland racer for this season.  Check out the shoes after they've been given the premium treatment.  I have to say these look pretty comfortable, and the use of leather and nubuck really look nice.


Unfortunately you half sizers will have to let these pass as they only made them in whole sizes.  Keep your else peeled for something else soon though.

Chris "Birdman" Andersen New Pro Leather 2k11 PE

Recently Chris Andersen took flight in a more Nuggets appropriate colorway of the Converse Pro Leather 2k11.  Check him out below in flight, I know this because I can see the wings tattooed on his arms!

Converse Jack Purcell Sport EVO White/Green

After all of the awesome shoes Converse decided not to make this spring, I am really shocked that this shoe was actually produced.  Below is the Converse Jack Purcell Sport EVO. 

This is similar to the JP EVO from last year, although it appears to be without Nike Flywire or Lunarlon.  On the plus side,  it comes in at $75 so it won't cost you as much.  

I haven't heard of Converse signing any Tennis Pros to promote their shoes, so if you happen to see anyone wearing them let me know.

Converse USA Year of the Dragon Collection

Happy Chinese New Year!  Converse has just released a special collection to celebrate the Year of the Dragon.  You can see the complete American release collection below.  There are 3 pairs of Chuck Taylor's, 1 pair of Chuck Classic Boots, 1 pair each of the One Star and Jack Purcell

Chris Andersen Converse Pro Leather 2k11 PE

Finally NBA is here and with that comes a first look at Chris Andersen's Pro Leather 2k11.  I am not really sure what happened with the blue, it doesn't really match the Nuggets at all.  Hopefully by the time the season actually starts they will have this corrected.   If he played for the Warriors these would be perfect though.
