Converse Basketball Shorts, Finally!

What a happy day it was last week when I walked into the Converse store in St. Augustine, FL.  I had just left my car where the USA Women's Soccer team had just finished off Brazil in amazing fashion.  Then I walked into the Converse store and noticed something extremely rare, a Converse employee wearing basketball shorts.  Knowing that they always try to wear products avaliable, or recently avaliable, in the store my hopes began to grow.  It was only a matter of seconds until my eyes found these new basketball shorts.

They come in four color combinations and feature pockets, which come in handy, and draw strings around the waist.  They also feature the recently adopted corporate logo for Converse.

They aren't online at Converse.com yet, so you'll have to keep emailing them or find a Converse store near you.

It Came from Brazil - Converse Suede Saddle

Well actually I should say it's coming from Brazil because they haven't released yet.  They are however some suede saddle shoes with some impressive color contrasting.  The drastic difference between the upper and lower of the shoe really pop to life.

I'm not sure exactly when these will release, but look for them in Brazil soonish.

It Came From Brazil - Converse CT AS Vintage

From time to time I like to highlight what Converse is releasing in other Countries, often times Converse Brazil is bring to most interesting stuff.  Lets take a look at their Converse CT AS Vintage below.

I love the extra toe rubber as I stumbled upon a pair recently on eBay from when Converse used that design on shoes.

It came from Brazil....Converse Ruby

Welcome to the Converse blog, today we have the next edition of "It Came from Brazil."  Today's edition comes from the Skateboarding division in the form of the Converse Ruby.  I'm really digging the red pair and I love the nice little detail of the black X stitching.  If you like these then I'd be making plans to visit Brazil or make some new Brazilian friends.

It came from Brazil...Converse X Filipe Jardim

If you don't know, Converse Brazil is rather unique. Not only do they have some really crazy colorways of certain models, they also have an extensive collection of shoes that aren't sold anywhere else. So I'm going to introduce a new regular segment here at The Converse Blog, named "It Came from Brazil." While not an original name, it gets the point across...so if you've got something better just let me know.

So for the first edition I present to you the
Converse x Filipe Jardim collection.  He is a commercial artist for Big Active, which is based in London.  They produced a full line of shoes which you can see below.

In order below you have the Converse Jack Purcell,  Chuck Taylor All Star Ox, Weapon Hi, Skip Grip, Weapon Ox, and finally the Chuck Taylor All Star Hi.
