Converse Auckland Sample
Earlier this year Converse released the Auckland Racer as part of their First String collection. Some colorways from a potential regular release have surfaced. I haven't seen them on any of the websites so I'm thinking the shoes may have been scrapped. Although some colorways have been released outside of the US which I assume is where this colorway came from. You can still find the First String Editions out there in all 3 colorways so go ahead and pick up a pair even if you can't find this colorway.
Hopefully I can get some NBA pictures up soon...it's been a crazy week or two around these parts. Please spread the word about TheConverseBlog.NET!!! Also if you don't already, please follow along on Twitter @TheConverseBlog

'S Friday Flashback: Cal Poly Pomona Bronco Volleyball Camp!
Welcome to The Converse Blog's Friday Flashback. Today's flash back is way back to 1986 and the Cal Poly Pomona Bronco Volleyball Camp. Vintage t-shirt, yep. Converse sponsored sports camp, oh yeah. Volleyball? Okay so even I didn't know Converse had ever had anything to do with Volleyball. However, it does make sense, Converse used to make shoes for every other sport, so why not. I really wish I had some shots of the shoes, but the t-shirt will have to do.
Well that's it for today, thank you very much for checking out the original Converse Blog here at TheConverseBlog.NET. Also don't forget to follow along on twitter @theConverseBlog

Converse CX Professional Vulc Ox
Hello world. I first showed you the Converse CX Professional Vulc Ox back in January of this year. At the time it was a shoe that was up at Converse China's website. And I wondered out loud if these shoes would be making it to America. I am glad to let you know that they have. Currently you can find them on Converse.com or Shoes.com which where I got the following pictures from. As I mentioned back in January, I really love the use of the Chevron Logo and the printed Converse. However, my favorite feature on this shoe is the outsole. I love the rich history that it displays with not only with the Converse logo but with the traction pattern as well.
Well that's it for today, check back tomorrow for a Friday Flashback here at The Converse Blog. Don't forget you can always follow along on Twitter too. @TheConverseBlog

'S Friday Flashback: Converse All Star Training Shoes.
Hi all, welcome to The Converse Blog's Friday Flashback. Today we're going after the All Star training shoe. This is a classic training shoe in a very nice suede Navy/White colorway.
I really wish I had a picture of the out sole but alas I do not. However, this shoe was re-issued a few years ago, so you might be able to find a pair floating around out there. Thanks for checking out the blog, have a great weekend!

'S Weapon Wednesday: Weapon 86 Knicks Colorway
Crazy day here in Kentucky. A strong line of thunderstorms just swept across the state like a firm pimp slap. I watched it rain in 3 different directions. Then we lost power, then the power came on and then the TV went out. Oh, and I couldn't find our battery radio or our War of the Worlds crank radio, thank you Tom Cruise. Needless to say it was pretty crazy. Speaking of crazy, these new Converse Weapon 86's are just that. You can them in a very nice Blue/Orange Knicks inspired colorway.
Sorry for the late post today, I had to keep up with some crazy 5th graders. Besides the F'bomb and sneaky cell phone use, it was a rather pleasant day all around. Thanks for checking out the blog, enjoy the weather where ever you are!

The Converse Blog's Friday Flashback: Welcome to 2009.
Happy Belated 2009, I completely forgot to mention that on Wednesday. Hopefully you're all enjoying a fresh start for this new year. It seems fitting that the first post of the new year would be a Friday Flashback. What a great way to break into the second Converse Century. These is a classic Converse ox shoe, but I can't remember the name, but I have seen it in some classic advertisements before.

I can't read what it says on the inside of the shoe, but this maybe a release from another country. I would say these came from Japan or China, either way they're still on older shoe.
Well that's it for today, thanks for checking out the Converse Blog!
