CONS ERX 300 Skate Blue/Blue/Blue/Red Colorway.

This past week I was fortunate enough to visit Las Vegas for a week long vacation.  I returned home with a good deal less of money than I left with.  I didn't really lose a lot of money in the casino's, I spent most of my money in the three area Converse stores.  I wanted to go ahead and show you one of the purchases I made, the Converse ERX 300.  One of the headlining shoes from the CONS Skateboarding.  I was really looking forward to picking up some shoes I haven't seen or been able to purchase yet and I personally think that I struck gold with these.

I've shown you pictures of the CONS ERX 300 before, but this is a very interesting colorway that I had not seen available in America before.  The upper is completely washed in different shades of blue with red accents on the tongue, heel, and outsole.

But just seeing pictures of the ERX 300 doesn't do it justice and anyone whose worn them or at least tried them on should agree.  The memory foam in the ankle and tongue make this an extremely comfortable high top selection.  More to come in the next few days from the trip.  Don't forget to vote in the poll as there are only a few days left.  Also follow us on twitter @TheConverseBlog.

I am having some trouble getting photos to load up on blogger today. Hopefully I can get the post up later on tonight, but it might be tomorrow before I can figure it out.

'S Friday Flashback: Citadel Basketball T-Shirt.

Back in the day when Converse was more of a player in College athletics one of the schools they supplied shoes for was the Citadel.  Actually, if I remember correctly the Citadel was one of the last schools to wear Converse back in the late 90's.  However, given the logo used on this shirt it most certainly came from the 80's.  Go Bulldogs!

Thanks for checking out the blog!  Check back for any breaking news on any additions to team Converse.

Converse Coastal Carnage July 24-26, 2009

Converse is bringing some Carnage to the Coast. It was recently announced that Converse will be hosting an invitation only event in Huntington Beach, CA.  As you can see from the information below the event will take place from July 24-26.  The combined purse will be 50,000 bucks.  If you're in the area come on out to experience the Carnage first hand.

SPoTlight Skateboarding has a run down on all of the invites so you can see who will be participating in the Carnage. (Every time I type Carnage I want to say it three times out loud like a monster truck commercial, Carnage, CARnage, CARNAGE!!!!).   Big thanks to Transworld Skateboarding the images above.

Hopefully I can get some more information about this to pass on to all of you.  Hope everyone enjoyed the 4th of July Holiday.  Depending on how you look at things the 2nd of July could have been the actually holiday to celebrate our Independence. Still others may hold out to November 19, shout out to all of the Matthew Thornton fans out there, or sometime in January for all of you Thomas McKean-amaniacs.

'S Friday Flashback: Converse x Disney's Mickey Mouse Sneakers Pin

You already know that I am a huge Converse fan, but what you may not know is that I am also a huge Disney fan. The truth is, I've been to Disney world more times than I care to mention on here. Needless to say we pretty much go to Orlando every year for vacation. I found this item on eBay a few weeks ago and needless to say I completely forgot to bid on it.  Seeing as how I had never heard about the Converse x Disney project I was really geeked to find this pin.

I haven't been able to locate the actually shoes that this pin is promoting so if you have any pictures or information on them that would be great, thank you in advance.

I'll be out of town next week, I am going out to the Vegas Summer League...well at least one day of it.  But I've got some posts that I can write out in advance, if I get to it.  So stay tuned next week to see what's up. Converse Outlet stores in Vegas here I come, it's time to stimulate the economy!

'S Weapon Wednesday: 90's Weapon Hi

Welcome to The Converse Blog's Weapon Wednesday!  I've been sitting on these Weapons for a couple of months now but I just couldn't hold back any longer.  At some point in the 90's Converse released the Weapon's again.  The upper looks, for the most part, exactly like the Weapon of the 80's.  What really sets these apart is the midsole and I assume the outsole is different too.  On the midsole there is a Converse branding hit near the toe cap area of the shoe.  Then in the heel area of the midsole there is a purple section that travels up from the outsole.  You'll see what I am talking about below...

That's it for today,  still no word on any of the rookie shoe contracts so stay tuned.
