A few months ago ESPN's Scott Van Pelt mentioned getting Les Miles some Magic Johnson Converse Weapons. Turns out he actually sent him a pair and well Les being Les decided he would make a video about it. Hope you enjoy!

Jimmer Fredette wears some Converse shorts while playing basketball
YES! Jimmer Fredette, one of the most well known prospects in the NBA draft is seen below rocking some Converse shorts. This is exciting for a few reasons.
1. Converse, I assume, is talking to Jimmer, who is one of the most well known prospects in the upcoming NBA draft.
2. Converse still makes basketball shorts, so maybe someday in the near future we might actually get to buy a pair.
Now lets not get carried away, he was still wearing a Nike shirt, socks, and most importantly shoes. But I am still very hopeful that Converse will make a big splash in this years draft.

Converse Basketball unreleased sample.
Today I'm bringing you an unreleased sample basketball shoe. I don't have a name for the shoe, but judging by the logo and outsole I would say this shoe was designed sometime between 2001 and 2003. You can tell by the font on the Converse logo on the outsole that these were designed during the "Shine" era.
I don't know much about these shoes, other then I know you probably wouldn't have had to worry about creasing the shoes around the toes. As you can see there is a soft plastic or hard leather area just past the toes.

Big Congrats to JJ Barea on his winning of the NBA Championship
Well we knew someone wearing Converse would be winning an NBA Championship, but I've to got to tell you that I'm pretty excited that it was JJ Barea. I don't really care to see Dwyane Wade win another NBA Championship, so I was pulling for the Mavs.
JJ Barea came up big, especially in the last 3, which he started.
<a href="http://video.msn.com?mkt=en-us&brand=foxsports&playlist=videoByUuids:uuids:12745be5-8e9a-4370-8572-2362a8ccf16f&showPlaylist=true&from=IV2_en-us_foxsports_videosearch&fg=RAMP" target="_new" title="Barea comes up big">Video: Barea comes up big</a>
I hope Converse.com at least puts up something about Barea, but so far there hasn't even been any mention from their twitter or Facebook page. Speaking of those social networks...

Friday Flashback CONS React training shoes, plus a plea for JJ Barea's shoes.
Hello world, welcome to the Friday Flashback here at the Converse Blog. But before we get to the post I want to give a shout out to JJ Barea. Last night JJ Barea put a impressive 17 points 5 Assist and 2 Rebounds. I can only hope that Converse is gearing up for a quickstrike release of Barea's Star Player EVO low top shoes, interest in the shoes will possibly never be higher.
Now onto the Friday Flashback....
React React React React React
I'm not sure of the name of these shoes, so if you happen to know please pass on the knowledge. However, as you can probably tell these shoes came out in the early 90's. Wild design and the Chevron in Star logo that defined the React era. Hope you enjoy!!!

Grandmama Inspired Converse SICKS
Well someone is listening to all of those people missing the days of Grandmama. While we're still holding our collective breathes for some Grandmama Retros (with real react juice), it is nice to see these. I am not sure where you'll actually find them, as a full run was not produced and they never showed up on Converse.com. Anyway, at least we have pictures to know they made them.
Look for Udonis Haslem in his colorway of the Converse SICKS tonight in game 5 of the NBA Finals. Thanks for checking out the blog and remember to follow along on twitter @TheConverseBlog and on Facebook too.

Converse Road Machine XLT Performance Running Shoe.
Below is the Converse Road Machine XLT, which to the best of my understanding is a new performance shoe from Converse....Converse Korea. While Converse has used XLT in a casual shoe and a skate shoe here in the states, they haven't applied the technology to a performance running shoe....yet?!?
What is XLT you ask? Well it stands for Extra Lite, I think. Unfortunately Converse.com doesn't provide any information about this technology so I can only assume it makes things weigh less.
Anyway if you want to get these you'll have to do some work. One option is to flood the Converse Facebook page with request for an American release. A simple "Please bring the Converse Road Machine XLT to America" would do....hey look at that, I've provided a link to their page and a ready made request to copy and paste. I've done all of the hard work for you, just copy and paste and we'll see what happens....Power to the Converse Performance Loving People!!!!
Now lets get on to the shoes.
As you can see the Converse Road Machine XLT is super flexible, which I understand is important when you run.
